Hawaiian Poke & More

This place is the real deal. Tastes like I'm back on the Big Island. Like the name says, it's classic Hawaiian Poke and more. Get a poke bowl and a masubi on the side. I haven't tried their other dishes because the poke is so good. It's actually marinated not like the other places that just serve you what I call a sushi salad. I will say that while there are lots of varieties of poke to choose from I would like to see a couple more non-spicy options. We will be back again and again. Thank you!

Absolutely love this place! Friendly owners and delicious, fresh food. The pork belly and all three poke bowl flavours were amazing. Excellent customer service. Highly recommended!

I came here a couple weeks ago for the first time after seeing it on Instagram. The store was not ready at noon, their scheduled opening time, and the two workers seemed very busy and unwelcoming. I think they were working on takeout orders. I asked the lady (the owner) for some samples and she literally just turned around and left to go to the back without a word. We ended up ordering with the gentleman without asking for samples... I kid you not, it took over 35 minutes for them to scoop two 8oz poke portions in plastic containers with one side of rice to go and we were the first ones to order. Neither workers wore masks and they did not enforce physical distancing in the store though there was bottles of hand sanitizer everywhere. I tried the sweet and spicy salmon and the spicy mayo tuna. The poke itself was okay - good sized chunks but clearly not marinated at all and I wish I had the opportunity to try a couple flavours before committing to a choice. They sell in 8oz and 16 oz containers - they don’t weigh them because it was less than that (including the containers!) when I weighed them at home on my kitchen scale.

Tried for the first time today, as I had heard great things about the restaurant and wanted to support a small business. Was greeted warmly by the lady at the counter (the owner?) and offered samples of the different flavoured fish to try, decided to go with the spicy tuna.

This place is different from other poke places in that toppings don't come with the bowl, you have to order those separately. The bowl just comes with rice and fish.

While at first I was not sure what to make of this, I quickly changed my mind when I got my order. The fish portion that comes with your order is enormous compared to other places. And the fish was super tasty. Really great value. I ordered a side of seaweed salad and the bowl was really delicious.

I also tried a cooked dish, chicken adobo, and it was decent but I think next time I go I'll try another cooked item.

Overall, really great food and great value.

Tried this place out with my cousin a few days ago, and we were blown away with the service and food we received! They let us try some samples of the fish before deciding on what to get. We got various items from the poke bowls, burrito style wraps, spam musubi, and a rice dish. All so delicious! It was worth the trip. I definitely will go back. Thanks to Ana and her staff for being so informative, helpful, and friendly!
