  I decided in the high season that my back deck needed a sun awning. I started by researching multiple awning dealers online. I settled with Solaris based on their products and all the reviews I had seen online. I called and the sales rep (Phil) came out within a few days. I was pretty happy as it was high season, July to be exact, everyone wants an awning in the summer.
  The estimate went really well, there was many colors and patterns to choose from. All the measurements were taken the same day and there was no pressure to commit right away, I was allowed to take time and really think about it as this comes with a price tag. When I was ready to commit everything could be done via e-mail and phone, no need to schedule another appointment or run to a store.
  The awning had been ordered and my tentative install date was booked based on when the awning would arrive, approximately 6 weeks, pretty exciting as I would have it and still have summer left to enjoy it too.
  Then came the surprise. The day before the scheduled install I got a phone call, my awning was never ordered. Now, you are wondering why the 5 star review anyway? Because, they handled this so very well. Right away they admitted their mistake, no need for me to start arguing. They also immediately offered a rebate, I did not have to ask, or remind them that this was in fact their fault. I even got the option to cancel the order at that time if I was upset enough. I was not, the rebate was more than substantial to cover any anger that was boiling due to the mistake. They deserved the 5 stars with the way they handled this.
  Then the actual install came. May I say, the installers, so great. They were on time, early in fact. They explained to me what would be happening before they started. It took them less time than they said it would, they showed me all the things about my awning, explained why it worked the way it did, pointed out some tips, and they cleaned my entire deck (granted it is not a huge deck but they did not mess it all up either). Very nice and professional.
  The follow up phone call came a couple of days later, to allow me time to try it out, and have thoughts about the process. I was asked to write a review, which I would have done anyway as I feel it is important to shed light on things that can go wrong with certain aspects of life and how the mishaps are handled. That is what I look for in reviews, and I hope this will help guide someone else.
  Thank you Solaris and Team for making my experience interesting at times but how great you handled it to keep it only interesting and not entirely maddening, great job, I would recommend you to any of my family and friends.

  We are really loving our new motorized screen room. Initially it seemed a bit overwhelming, but Dustin was able to explain everything so that we had a clear understanding of all the options available to us. We really appreciated his recommendation of using a tighter mesh of the west side to block more sun while using a more open mesh on the other two sides to allow for more airflow inside our patio. Once we made the decision to go ahead with the project he coordinated with our site super and everything came together seamlessly.
  
  Everyone we dealt with, from the installers to office staff were excellent to deal with it.
  
  I highly recommend this company and will have Dustin back in the spring to look at the upstairs deck for an awning.

  Thank you, Solaris, for screening our lower patio. Phil has expert product knowledge, was great to deal with and communicated with us throughout every step of the project. The installation guys were punctual, professional, efficient and tidy. I appreciated the time they took to explain the installation and the care/maintenance required on our part. This is a top notch company who wants their customers 100% satisfied. Looking forward to enjoying our bug-free patio!

  I was looking for a great company to put an awning on my new deck. A few years back I went to the Edmonton Home Show and was impressed with their quality of work. After reviewing all the amazing options they had, I got an extremely knowledgeable salesperson (Phil) to come out to give me an estimate.
  I finally reached out this year for the installation. Phil came out once again and sat down with me over the options and styles, he still had the original plans we talked about before, I made a few adjustments after considering the many options available. I was extremely impressed with Phil's knowledge, professionalism and thoughtfulness as he remembered me and my plans from before. I placed my order that night and the installation was completed to my satisfaction in just 6 weeks. Staci was the contact person at the office and always kept me informed, truly a remarkable and caring employee. The installation was a huge success and the two employees that came out were very professional and did an awesome job. They took their time explaining to me how everything worked. I then received an awesome gift from Phil and the company which I was not expecting. Thanks so much for the excellent wine choice and wine glasses!!! It was a great feeling to see how much Phil and the company appreciated their customer. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for quality work with a great company that cares to give them a call. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed. Best employees and company!!!

  Highly recommend Solaris for your awning needs. The staff are prompt, friendly, and professional throughout the process - from initial consult to installation and follow-up. We are very happy with our custom motorized awning that can be retracted and extended as needed. A good selection of colours and options are available for customization. Solaris also offers a competitive warranty package. Big thanks to Solaris.
