  My wife really likes this store and found the clerk very helpful even though the store was quite busy. Great sales staff.

  UPDATE: I contacted the store directly about the customer service I received, and I got a very quick and apologetic email back, in which I was assured that my feedback had been forwarded to the store manager directly. Not long after, the store manager contacted me to discuss further. He also informed me that the issue was discussed with employees. The responsiveness from management made me change my rating to 3 stars.

  Unfortunately, I have not had good experiences with the staff at this location (South Edmonton Common). I called yesterday, May 16th, to ask if they had an item in stock and the girl who picked up the phone interrupted me while I was describing the item and said "I need to put you on hold!" then immediately put me on hold. After 30 minutes waiting on hold, I decided not to wait any longer. I called again this morning and when I tried to explain the item I was looking for, the woman (who sounded like the same woman who put me on hold the day before) said, in a very curt way, "I can't hear you. You're mumbling." I spoke up to explain the item and she asked what the colour was, I told her, for the third time, that I was looking for burgundy and she started citing colour code numbers, which are no where to be found on the site. I told her I didn't see colour codes on the website, so I had no way of knowing whether the colour code she gave was what I was looking for. She rudely stated "if you're looking for burgundy, that's what the colour code is."
  
  The only good thing I can say is that she was able to confirm that they didn't have the item I was looking for in stock. The clothes at this store are lovely, but I can honestly say I will not shop here again if this is how staff members speak to customers. I rarely write negative reviews (if you look at my Google review history, they are all positive), and I'll add that I did speak with someone friendly and helpful on the 24 hour line, so the experience wasn't all bad. That said, I think it's important that J. Crew take a close look at how their in-store staff interact with customers.

  The factory is really similar to the actual store, but at a fraction of the cost. I find that the cuts and quality are different than the actual J.crew store, hence the discounted price. Either way, J.Crew makes really nice stuff, so you'll always make a really good shopping haul. There is ALWAYS a sale at the Factory store, especially 50% off deals. And don't forget to use your student discount if you have it!

(780) 434-5413 I think it's a bit of a common misconception that items at J.Crew Factory were once sold at J.Crew.... sadly this isn't the case. Items of slightly lesser quality are manufactured separately or 'reject' pieces are redirected to the Factory stores rather than tarnish J.Crew's reputation.
