(September 5, 2020, 1:14 am)If you go to Elk Island. Ask the gate person. She will tell you were the bison are. The Beaver Pond was ok. I got a lot pictures with the bison and their young it was very enjoyable.

(July 12, 2020, 2:10 am)We visited in mid July. There were many muddy patches along the trail following couple of days of raining. I am guessing trail isn't this wet normally, but is still wise to bring a pair of boots.
The trail itself is close to 4 km and meanders along riparian area with views of beaver dams which are fascinating to see. It is only a short drive from the Astotin Lake in Elk National Park. So if you are in and around the lake, its a cool easy trail to consider. -

(June 28, 2018, 8:40 pm)Nice easy walk, with a little up and down. Good view of ponds but didn't notice much in the way of wildlife. Definitely bring the bug spray
