He is absolutely the most dedicated and knowledgeable private contractor that I know in Calgary's custom home building market. He knows the business front to end - he understands the challenges and ins and outs of financing a project, he knows the city processes for applications and approvals, and he puts his experience to work for you by getting involved early in the planning stages where he is already anticipating and problem-solving for what he can see coming 10 steps ahead of you.
Mike's design suggestions are thoughtful and practical, his finishing tastes are attractive while remain affordable. He's an expert at budgeting and is very good at hitting the sweet spot of balancing luxury against cost. Most importantly, Mike builds to a higher quality standard, and not just with flashy lipstick on the surface. I mean true quality in the brick and mortar, like better weather-proofing systems in his foundations, higher R rating and noise suppression systems in his walls and ceilings, moisture and mildew prevention against eventual rot, plus so much more that only a trained eye can appreciate.
Anyone who is looking to experience a truly customized vision with experienced consultation needs to call Mike and then stop the search. He is a professional who is genuinely enthusiastic and vested in his clients.
