Loved our stay here!! We arrived in the evening and enjoyed the complimentary coffee, tea and cookie selection. The lobby area was so cozy!! The room was extremely clean and comfortable. We had to catch a morning flight the next day but our hosts woke up early and made us a delicious breakfast before we left. Definitely don’t hesitate to book this place if you are considering!

Overall, I had a pretty good time at the lodge. Beautiful & clean accommodation, super kind owners whom I enjoyed conversing with, and outside of the downtown area - which I really appreciated.
My only downside was the bathroom in my particular room. It didn't have it's own full dividing room, no fan, and the toilet was a 2ft gap that's not forgiving to larger guests.
Like I said, for a short stay, you can make do. It's still a great lodge, I'd still recommend it.

Brian and Annie are the best! They serve excellent and satisfying breakfasts. I loved our conversations. Top notch hospitality. A very clean and comfortable lodge and great location in the Canadian rockies. I highly recommend ambleside lodge.

In all my years of reading Google reviews, I’ve never had the desire to write one until now. Truly cannot say enough good things about this place. The house is so cozy and inviting, Kyle and Hilary are just the most wonderful hosts you’ll ever have, and the breakfasts are to-die-for! Also very walkable to downtown Canmore, which we loved even more than Banff. We came for the mountains and winter activities but got so much more out of the experience by staying here. Do yourself a favor— skip the hotels and have a more memorable time here, while supporting a local small business.

We loved our stay here. The house is exceptional, the rooms are uber comfortable and the little touches to make your stay more comfortable make this outstanding. Brian and Anne are wonderful hosts and together they make you feel like you are visiting old friends (who happen to be DeadHeads). Breakfast was wonderful and they are very accommodating for dietary restrictions. Stellar stay. Can't wait to return.
